Fees

Trading 212 and IUX both keep commissions and fees fairly simple, but the cost picture is different for each broker. Trading 212’s CFD account advertises zero commission, yet traders still pay spreads on CFDs and forex. Its published average EUR/USD spread of 2.7 pips in April 2025 is relatively high, which can make it less attractive for cost-conscious forex traders. Trading 212 earns 4 out of 5 stars for commissions and fees and ranks #28 out of 36 brokers.

IUX offers more account choices, including spread-only and commission-based options, which gives traders more flexibility depending on how often they trade. Its Standard and Standard+ accounts start with a $10 minimum deposit, while the Raw and Pro accounts are aimed at active traders with a $500 minimum deposit. IUX lists stronger pricing overall, with average EUR/USD spreads around 0.7 pips on the Pro account and about 0.9 pips on the Standard account, while the Raw account adds a $6 commission per 100,000 units. IUX is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars for commissions and fees and is ranked #19 out of 36 brokers.

Overall, IUX has the edge on pricing for most traders, especially those looking for tighter spreads. Trading 212 may appeal to users who want a simple zero-commission message, but its wider spreads can increase trading costs. If low forex and CFD fees are a priority, IUX is the stronger option of the two.

Neither broker offers daily market commentary, Autochartist, Trading Central, TipRanks, or Acuity Trading tools, and both provide an economic calendar for tracking major global news events. The key difference is that Trading 212 includes forex news from top-tier sources like Bloomberg, Reuters, and Dow Jones, while IUX does not.

IUX still provides beginner-level videos, but its lower rating and bottom-ranked Education placement suggest it may be less helpful for someone who wants more guidance as they learn.
